GLCU Foundation - The Annual Event

And thank you to GLMV Chamber of Commerce for its partnership with GLCU Foundation for Financial Empowerment over this past year.  Having a public charity Foundation that provides direct service, we make ourselves available to impact the community and our members every day. Your support ensures that we can commit to not only direct services, but our continued capacity to collaborate with other nonprofit organizations by volunteering and providing grants.
Our team works hard to build financial well-being in the community. In the last year alone, 200 employees volunteered 3,917 hours. We also served 733 households via one-on-one financial counseling and saved $33 million worth of assets by preventing 169 families from defaulting on their mortgages.
 
In 2024, we are expanding our homebuyer education program across Chicagoland, increasing volunteer hours in the community, and amping up financial investment to impact the community. For example, we host monthly 6-hour workshops to introduce the steps needed to purchase a home and then follow that up with individual counseling customized for everyone’s unique financial situation.
 
It is now the time of the year for us to celebrate our success. It would be an honor if you can join us at GLCU Foundation – The Annual Event on October 10, 2024, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at the Greenbelt Cultural Center, 1215 N Green Bay Rd, North Chicago, IL 60064.
