Lure of the Local Arts Exhibition - O...Description
The Mundelein Arts Commission (MAC) cordially invites you as a VIP guest to our 3rd annual Lure of the Local art exhibition. This year’s theme is Color Wheel. The show is a two-month curated exhibition in Downtown Mundelein highlighting work from local artists who may be your teachers, friends, and neighbors. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
The show always kicks off with a fun opening night, so we hope you can join us next week on Friday, September 13th, 2024 where there will be live music, raffles, food from local restaurants, and complimentary wine, beer, and seltzer. We are inviting our local officials, representatives, volunteers, artists, and sponsors as VIP guests to tour the exhibit one hour early and join us in a private ribbon cutting before opening the show to the public. As with last year, the MAC is exciting to bring this unique kind of event to the community that celebrates and uplifts locally grown artists and local businesses. It’s a visually interesting, museum-like exhibition. Lure of the Local was created and curated by Arts Commissioner Stacee Kalmanovsky. Big thanks to everyone that worked hard to make the exhibition a reality, including Arts Commissioners Chris Woodard and Colleen Bayoneto, Village of Mundelein Staff, our sponsors, and an enthusiastic team of volunteers!
We hope you can make it! Visit www.mundelein.org/LURE for pictures from previous years more details about events.Tell a Friend
