Wild Ones - Keeping Trees Healthy and...Description
We all love our backyard gardens. This month we have two professionals who will speak on different ways to bring more beauty to your yards.
Keeping Trees Healthy and Happy
Whether you are planting new trees in the yard or trying to keep your trees healthy and looking good, this talk is for you. There are right and wrong ways to take care of trees. As a certified arborist for the last 26 years, Chris Mest will talk about the 4 most important things you can do to keep trees healthy. He will cover tips on planting, mulching, pruning and watering. Join us for all this great information and bring your tree questions to get all the answers you have been searching for.
Natural Stone Gardening: Building for the Native Gardener
Landscaper designer/ project manager Derrek Pathmann, will discuss building outdoor spaces using native materials (hardscape) in the Northern Illinois region.
The public is invited to the monthly meetings of the Lake-to-Prairie chapter of the Wild Ones, a national not-for-profit organization that promotes the use of native plants in landscapes.
