About Us

Reach Rescue is an all volunteer foster-based dog rescue which rescues dogs from Illinois and other states and finds them caring and loving permanent homes.
Reach Rescue Inc. (Rescuing Each Animal for Caring Homes) was established in 2011 in Illinois. The organization is an all volunteer foster-based dog rescue. Founded by a small group of local ladies, who in their first year alone, adopted out 100+ pets, Reach has now evolved into a rescue run by a board of directors and more than one hundred volunteers. In 2020 alone, 749 dogs were adopted to loving families.
Many of our rescue dogs have medical or behavioral issues or have just been relinquished to us due to financial or divorce issues or simple neglect. These dogs spend time in foster homes so we get to know them, and we then find the most loving adoptive homes to suit their situation and personality.

Reach accepts dogs from the far south, local animal shelters and also owner relinquished. Dogs are of all breeds, ages, and sizes. They come from varying backgrounds and some come with either medical or behavioral issues. Reach Rescue relies on their community of volunteers and supporters to help resolve any issues these dogs may have. Time is one of the most valuable tools in helping these dogs reach their full potential to become the best pets and find the best families where they can eventually live their best lives.
