Visit Libertyville Tourism Campaign Launch

The Village of Libertyville has launched its first “Visit Libertyville” campaign with the release of a new tourism website www.VisitLibertyville.com and video. The effort is part a of a broader project that will include digital advertisements and a print brochure intended to entice potential visitors to learn more about what Libertyville offers.

The effort is made possible through a matching grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity, Office of Tourism. Total project cost is anticipated at $24,800 when completed in June 2024.

The Village of Libertyville has a lot to offer leisure, sports and corporate travelers. Local attractions include a historic downtown shopping district, nearly 100 restaurants, sport and event facilities, various museums and national historic landmarks, and outdoor experiences for fitness enthusiasts. Staying in Libertyville is convenient with five local hotels, Metra commuter rail access, and close proximity to Interstate 94. To those in town for fun, work, a special occasion or a weekly Naval Station Great Lakes graduation, Libertyville’s amenities are just a few minutes away.

According to Maureen Riedy, President of the Visit Lake County Tourism Bureau, “There is something very special about the Village of Libertyville. The community exudes charm with its quaint downtown and many unique, one-of-kind restaurants and stores. Visitors to Lake County are drawn to Libertyville and will leave with a memorable experience."
